How To Put Ebike On Bike Rack

Loading an electric bike onto a bike rack requires extra care due to the added weight of the motor, battery, and reinforced frame.

1. Verify Weight Limits and Receiver Ratings

Exceeding tongue or rack capacity risks catastrophic failure.

Check that your rack is rated for your e-bike's weight (most platform racks support 60–80 lbs per tray). Ensure your vehicle's hitch class can support the combined weight of the rack and all mounted bikes.

2. Remove the Battery and Loose Accessories
