Most road e-bikes have a screen mounted at the front of the bike, usually in the middle of the handlebars. It serves as the brain of your electric bike, displaying essential stats and information about your ride. With the e-bike display, you can see the overall shape of your e-bike at a glance.
Himiway is renowned for having the best e-bike displays available today. We recently unveiled a new Himiway Upgrade Smart Ebike LCD display compatible with the Zebra, Cruiser, and Cobra series. Advantages of the new upgrade
If you are familiar with previous Himiway Displays, you might wonder why the need to create a new one. Here are some advantages that this upgrade has over the earlier version.
Larger screen size
Imagine riding an e-bike while you squint to read what is on your screen. It can be frustrating and fatal because losing focus on the road for some time could result in an accident.
A larger screen makes it easy for you to look through lots of information and monitor your speed at a glance without straining your eyes. You would find details such as battery level, level of the pedal assist, and the speedometer. You can always use this to check if you are still within the permitted speed limit.
Color screen
With its large font, the color display offers maximum visibility in any weather and guarantees complete control of your e-bike. The integrated USB port allows you to charge your e-bike display on the go and even use it as an external power bank for other devices.
Improved water resistance
In addition to enabling you to ride in all kinds of weather and terrain, the water-resistant e-bike display increases the longevity of your Display. Heavy rain, snowfall, and arid conditions are no match for the water-resistant e-bike display, which makes it ideal for riding in all kinds of weather. New Display User Guide
To turn the Display on or off, press and click on the power button for 2 seconds. The Display does not weigh on the battery power, and the peak current when the device is powered off is less than 1uA. The Display will turn off automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity on the e-bike.
2. Battery Power
The battery life is visible at the very top of the screen. This is to predict the level of charge left after cycling. Therefore, riders can know the amount of battery life left while riding. At the same time, the line fading from left to right warns when the battery is running low. It's crucial to keep an eye on the battery level while riding your e-bike so you can know when it needs recharging. To extend your e-battery bike's life, you should avoid letting the level go below 20% before charging.
3. Backlight Brightness
The indication ‘Bl’ is the backlight. To show the various brightness levels of the backlight, use the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4. The brightness scale goes from 1 to 5, with 5 with the highest brightness. The standard brightness setting is 5. To change the brightness level, click “+” or “-” To confirm the selection and enter the auto headlight setting, click “M.” To ensure the selection and leave the default settings, press “M.”
4. Pedal assist
The power applied to your motor to help you pedal is “pedal assist.” Your electric bike's ability to engage this sets it apart from non-motorized and throttle-only bikes, which are essentially mopeds. Just below the battery and charging indicators in the middle of the Display's top section is where you'll find the pedal assist. When traveling uphill or over challenging terrain, think about using higher settings. Click “+” or “-” to change the assist level. The display instrument's default gears are numbered 0 through 5, with gear 0 having no power output, gear 1 having the smallest power output, and gear 5 having the most significant power output. When the Display turns on, the assist level, by default, is Gear 1.
5. Speedometer
A speedometer that measures and shows the current and average speed is also on the Himiway's LCD screen. Short pressing the “I” button on the electric bike will display the current speed (km/h), average speed (km/h), maximum speed (km/h), single mileage (km), and total mileage (km). Also, Himiway has a walk mode that enables users to reduce speed without stopping. This feature slows the e-bike's motion to a walking pace, adjusts the amount of exercise, and allows riders to traverse the terrain as necessary.
Conclusion
If you decide to use an electric bike, you must get one with the best possible monitor for speed, distance, and other information. Your bike display supplies information as necessary as the bike itself, so don't hesitate to get the Himiway upgraded e-bike display, as it is custom-made to suit all your biking needs.
