Himiway D5 2.0 Series eBike Endless Comfort: Turning Rough Roads into Silk.

Awesome bike. After researching I needed something a little easier to get off and on. I have not been on a bike in 30 years much less an e-bike. Went to dealer for a test drive. They only had a D3 and a 20” D5. After riding both I decided on the 20”. It was much more comfortable than the D3. I felt more confident and comfortable on the D5 20”. It came home with me!

Excellent quality. Easy assembly. Powerful. Smooooooth ride! Tires OK, not real good on loose gravel. (but what tires are?) Handlebars were too low for me. I'm 6' 8". I knew the bars would be an issue. Put the stem extension and bars from my old Aventon on the new D5. Perfect! Really impressed with the assist levels and being able to choose torque or cadence. As I'm sure you've heard before, people call it a "Hemingway" I don't correct them, I just go with it! I've also named the bike. I call it Earnest. Just feels right! We'll see how I feel about the bike in a year after 6 months of riding in Texas.

I am very satisfied with my Himiway D5 2.0! I chose the 26-inch Midnight Blue model, which looks even better in person. The bike is solid, well-built, and offers a smooth, comfortable ride. The suspension effectively absorbs bumps and road irregularities, making city rides more enjoyable. The motor provides ample power, and the bike remains stable and easy to handle. This is my first brand new E-bike. I bought a used one a year ago to see if I really wanted to keep riding. Well of course I wanted too! My husband has a Himiway D-3 ST and loves it. So because of that we ordered my bike , I like the cargo style bike more for my build. I’m 5’4 and weight about 160. I think the bike is very well built and sturdy for my level of riding. Would definitely recommend for someone my age and size. Like the response in brakes and it takes off very smoothly with throttle.

First off the bike is responsive and suprisingly nimble. This bike packs punchy response when needed. Both torque and cadence settings are quality options. The ride settings are user friendly. The display is large enough for night and daytime visibility. A backlight on the gear selector would make it 8 stars. As far as comfort goes on an e-bike, this is the cadillac of its class. Battery longevity was well planned on this finely optioned D5 2.0. Currently building a trailer with a tent and solar panels and a jackery for a power pack-out option of my own. The Himiway D5 2.9 20” is as versatile as it gets when it comes to e-bikes . Its ease of use is incredible getting on the bike couldn’t be easier, it has a full featured computer with auto mode and cruise control and so simple to use for anyone, you can change the class of the ebike from Class 1 to Class 3 with the touch of a button . The Tektro hydraulic braking system is second to none just like the 8speed Shimano Altus shifter And the ride comfort of this bike is superb whether on smooth roadways or rough grassy or dirt trails it has the smoothest ride I have ever experienced on an ebike . So don’t hesitate to purchase it today for $1999.00 it a great price for a bike of this build quality ! And don’t forget your helmet safety first ! First off this is my second Himiway e-bike. I rode an Escape for 5 years. I am an older gent with a disability, so e-bikes were a great way for me to get back into biking. The Escape was an excellent ride and I never had a major issue with it, that went beyond normal maintenance. The only reason I decided to get a D5 2.0 20" was I figured the tech had evolved enough in 5 years to make it worth going for the upgrade. Before I get into the bike itself, I do want to mention a issue that I ran into during assembly. The assembly video was apparently made for the D5 2.0 26" so the information regarding the installation of the front wheel is completely wrong. For the D5 2.0 20" the front wheel is assembled with a quick release bolt, something that they do not mention at all in the video. Fortunately, I found the answer to my problem on line and got the bike properly assembled. Himiway has informed me that they have footage with the correct assembly process and will be editing it into the video soon. As far as the bike itself, it rides like a dream. The dual suspension works great and gives you a very smooth ride. Today I took the bike on a 20 mile trail ride and when I was done I still had about 50% of the battery power left. As the speed limit on the trail is 15 mph, I generally ran in Tour mode and rarely used the throttle. I only put it in turbo once to test it out. The Himiway D5 2.0 20” E-Bike has been an incredible investment for my brother. Due to his disability, he’s unable to drive a car, making this his primary—and only—source of transportation. This is his second Himiway e-bike, and it has exceeded our expectations in every way.
