Since 2017, Himiway has built electric bikes around one goal: helping riders go further than they thought they could — in distance, in years of use, and in the life they can keep living on two wheels.
Seven years later, that goal is why we're one of the leading e-bike brands in North America, covered by Forbes and other major outlets, ridden by over 100,000 riders worldwide, and backed by 1,000+ dealer and service locations across the continent.
This is what those seven years actually built — and why, for our 7th anniversary, we're saying thank you with a free battery on every D5 2.0.
Go Further, See Further — Seven Years of Company Standards
Go further, see further. Most Himiway e-bikes are built on fat tires — made to handle sand, snow, gravel, and rough trail that a standard tire can't touch, and just as comfortable on everyday neighborhood streets and errand runs — with cargo racks and hitch points rated to carry real gear, not just a bag of groceries.
A bike only takes you further if it's still with you next year, and the year after. Every Himiway frame is aluminum alloy with a lifetime warranty against rust and structural failure. Our tires come from Maxxis and Kenda rather than the cheapest option available, every battery is Samsung-cell backed by a 2-year warranty, and 1,000+ dealer and service locations are behind it if something ever needs a look.
The D5 2.0: Where Seven Years Landed
Everything above isn't a slogan — it's the standard every Himiway is built to, and the D5 2.0 is where it currently comes together. For a retired rider who wants to run her own errands without wrestling a tall frame onto the curb, or an angler loading gear before sunrise for a day on the water, the D5 2.0 — offered in 20" and 26", with a low step-through option — is built around what riders are actually trying to do.
The numbers back it up:
- Power. 750W motor, 90Nm torque, 1,300W peak — climbs grades that stall lesser motors
- Range. 48V 15Ah battery, up to 70 miles per charge on pedal assist
- Ride comfort. Full front-and-rear suspension smooths broken pavement and rutted trail alike
- Stopping power. Tektro hydraulic disc brakes hold steady on wet roads and loose gravel
- Weatherproofing. IPX5-rated frame, IPX6-rated battery, UL 2271 / UL 2849 certified — rain or a stream crossing isn't a reason to turn back
- Cargo. 120-lb-rated rear rack and hitch point for fishing gear, hunting equipment, or a camping trailer
- Visibility. 800-lumen headlight for safe pre-dawn or after-dark rides
As one D5 2.0 rider, Brandon, put it, the bike rides like "the Cadillac of its class." Another rider, Clay, took his straight from the box to the beach, mountain trails, and city streets — towing a paddleboard trailer the whole way.
This Isn't a Promotion. It's Us Keeping That Promise, Again.
Almost every rider asks the same question before buying: what if I run out of battery halfway there? For seven years, "more battery" has been our answer — and until now, a second battery has always come at a cost, on the D5 2.0 and every other model we make. This anniversary, we're removing that cost entirely — to every rider, new or long-time.
