Disconnect the brake plugs and inspect the pins. If wet or oxidized, dry them thoroughly and apply dielectric grease before reconnecting.
If the error persists after isolating both brake cutoffs, inspect the main 1-to-4 wiring bus for internal shorts between the brake signal and display communication lines.
