D5(Zebra) / Premium All-terrain Electric Fat Bike

First of all, the bike is beautiful! It's exactly what I pictured when I ordered it. I received it and the accessories in a timely manner, so I'm very pleased with that as well.
I'm 5ft 2inches and the bike is a bit tall for me. I'm also quite obese and honestly haven't ridden a bicycle in over 25 years. I'm a bit "thick" to be able to stand comfortably between the seat and the bike frame. And it's a high step for me to be able to step through the bike. But with my son's help to steady me, I was able to get on the bike.
It rides WONDERFULLY! I was able to press the button to make the bike move forward and surprisingly kept my balance and headed up the street.
This bike is really awesome! It smoothly picks up speed and was easy to peddle. One thing I noticed is that you can feel the weight of the bike. Not a bad thing, just noticable to me. I was able to easily turn the bike around at the intersection and head back toward my house. As I slowed down, I was going to stop the bike, bring myself off the seat, and step to the ground like I've always done. But because I'm so "thick" I'm too big to stand between the bike frame and the seat, so I became "hung-up" (not a comfortable thing!!) on the seat and promptly fell over! The bike withstood it's crash meeting with the pavement quite well!! It received just a couple of scratches, but no dents! My son helped me up and I put the bike in the garage where it's been ever since!!
BUT, this bike is a really awesome bike! It truly is! It's beautiful to the eye. It's really well built and has a strong frame. Himiway really out did themselves when they made this bike!
I was hoping to be able to use it to help me lose weight. I've been quite sedentary for way too long, so I figured I could get out of the house and enjoy the outdoors and this great summer weather. I had planned to get my exercise from peddling the bike, then when I needed to, I could rest and let the bike do the work for a while. But I'm just a bit too short and too thick for this step through. I want to ride this bike so badly, but I have a lot of work to do before I can comfortably ride it.
When I bought my bike, I also surprised my adult son with his own bike too! He absolutely loves his! He's a big guy so the fact that the bike is made for heavy loads is sweet! He's gone biking with his young children and they've really enjoyed that time together.
The Himiway D5 Zebra is a very strong, sturdy, well crafted bike that rides smoothly, accelerates smoothly, and is so comfortable. During my short ride, being on the Himiway D5 was a dream!!
The problems I myself have with the bike are my own doing. Himiway has created a very good bike! It's seriously a masterpiece!! Unfortunately, mine is collecting dust right now because I'm too short and fat to ride it. I do wish the seat were a teeny bit lower. If the seat were lower, I would be able to ride this bike now. But I think it's a standard height for a bike. I'm just a short, fat person! But I'm working on fixing myself and losing some weight so I'll have a chance to enjoy this beautiful bike as well.

54.3 miles this past week-end on the Suwannee Greenway Bike Trail. Our D5's give us the best rides! My wife has over 500 miles on hers. You cannot go wrong with a Himiway D5 ST!!!

Easy set up. Great bikes!

I love the color of my new bike (a moss green) and most things about it. However, I had purchased a previous Hemiway e-bike Cruiser and the accelerator was great, on the right side of the handlebars and worked well. On the new Zebra bike they located the accelerator on the left side and it is now a lever. A little hard to control when taking off from a stop light, etc. Other than that, I love my bike!

I researched a lot of brands and too time to find the best choice for our family. Mandy was extremely patient and answered all of my questions. She really made the difference in my descion process. Our D7 and D5 arrived damage free and easy to assemble. I will only recommend to others for its value, quality and support.

Last night, I decided to drain the battery,

I first rode behind the Twence waste processor and (secretly) took the footpaths, as there are no pedestrians in the evening, but I did see a beautiful piece of nature (captured in video and photos). I just wanted to experience the battery's endurance for myself. The specifications indicated 125 km, while some mentioned 130 km. I wanted to find out. I rode the last 5 km around my house and yes... at 129.8 km, the assistance cut out. I could still turn on the lights, though. Now I know that when the last bar starts blinking, I still have about 15 to 20 km of support left — the 'reserve tank' in motorbike terms. That's what I wanted to understand.

I know that initially, you need to drain the battery at least 5 times until the assistance stops, after which you can do it at your discretion when it blinks. It's battery training for a longer 'lifespan' of the battery. I had already done this with the Flyer T7 (which I still have), and the Flyer dealer was surprised at how long I used a single battery.

I usually bike around 22 km/h in the 3rd assistance level. I only switch to the 5th assistance level for viaducts or small hills.

How was it to pedal without assistance? It wasn't too bad; the Shimano gears are excellent for control, but it felt like having a brake parachute 🙈😅 After all, the bike weighs 35 kg.

I love this bike. It's amazingly easy to ride.

I purchased a D5 Zebra Pro in the beginning of February 2025. I’ve called numerous times left messages & got no response. I’m disabled so it’s hard to find help to use chat. The box says just D5 not D5 Zebra. I just got someone to help me assemble it today. I don’t want to open the box in case I received the wrong bike. Can someone please help me. I’ve left messages since February! I’d appreciate your help & time. Thanks Marcus
